There are many local resources that provide information, spearhead efforts and address teen workforce issues. Below are a few of the community-based programs that are focused on teens.
Organizational Networks Serving Teens
Boston Youth Services Network (BYSN)
BYSN is a network of youth service providers that have committeed to sharing and developing best practices, prioritizing referrals within the network to provide a continuum of services, working together to develop funding for a system of alternative education and career exploration serivces. The overarching goal of this effort is to improve the quality and diversity of services for youth at-risk that allow them to develope the academic, work-readiness, life skills and structure necessary to become productive adults.
dotWell
DotWell is a community-based organization, specifically a formalized collaborative effort of its two founding organizations: the Codman Square Health Center (CSHC) and the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center (DHMSC). DotWell was previously known as the Health Services Partnership of Dorchester (HSP). DotWell’s mission is to guarantee high-quality clinical and community services across both sites—addressing health disparities, meeting the complex needs of a changing Dorchester community, and building social capital in and across neighborhoods.

Get Off The Corner Hanging Around (GOTCHA)
The members of the GOTCHA program network refer youth among network members in order to provide them with as full a range of programs, job opportunities and services as possible. The members of the GOTCHA network are aligned around the goal of meaningful employment that builds on youth development values, and have organized a system for creating a jobs network and offering training and support to both job seekers and employers.
